30 Day Truth Challenge {Day 7}

Day 7 Someone who has made your life worth living for. The answer to this is quiet obvious....Lady Gaga. Ok, a little more obvious than that is my little stinker bum Maddison. I honestly don't remember what I did every day without her. My life consists of waking up to her shaking my head yelling "wake up!", cleaning up messes every 5 minutes, and show like Dora and Bob-Bob. What was I like before I had her? I don't really remember therefore I don't miss it :) I ♥ you Maddison Dale!!!

(and she does not have a black eye...she thought thelip gloss would really bring out her eyes)

Easter {part 2}

This year for Easter, my mom found this website that tells you how to dye easter eggs using foods from around the house. I was a little skeptical at first, but then she showed me some photos and dye-ing techniques and I knew we had to try it! (we would've anyway because she said so, but I was on board).

The colors of the eggs came out sooooo GREAT! They looked sort of natural in a way (I say that because blue and pink eggs are not natural at all). We also did some that had imprints of leaves and cherry blossom (of course)!

Aren't they cool?! I think hiding them was the least fun part for me. I had to make them easy to find for Maddie, but we only had a select few hiding spots that were perfect. Not too easy, not too hard. So I ended up only hiding 5 or 6 of them. But Maddie LOVED finding them! :)

Jessi brought Kyler a little bit after Maddie had started looking for eggs and got him all dressed up in his little suit! How cute is he?! Thanks Papa and Mums for their A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E Easter outfits!!! :)

We tried getting a photo of them together, but Maddie was having a really hard time with Kyler touching her Easter basket. She's a little territorial ;)

They both scored big with their Easter baskets! The Easter bunny was VERY generous :)

After all the fun at our house, we headed over to Apey's house for another Easter egg hunt and Kira's birthday party. We had so much fun!

Maci and Maddie are like best friends! Maddie looks forward to seeing her everytime we go over to her house. This visit, Maci painted Maddie's nails. They turned out soooo cute!

Aren't they the CUTEST?!

Easter {part 1}

I know, I know, Easter was like forever ago.....but better late than never, right?

I've recently told you about my obsession with 'photo shoots' with Maddie....and Easter was no exception. I HAD to do a shoot. So on Saturday, I took Maddie to an orchard. There weren't any blossoms out (my latest obsession....more about that later) but it was still beautiful and serene. The moment we got there, we saw SIX deer! And they just stood there and stared at us. It was awesome!

(you can see 4 of them in this picture) I tried to hide some eggs for her to find but she wasn't feeling it.

(she's like "where?!") So I got some GREAT shots of the eggs instead! ha ha

We lasted at the orchard for about a total of 15 minutes (if that) so we took a drive for a change of scenery. We ended up at the Farmington Pond. It's not the typical location someone would pick for Easter photos, but Maddie loved it up there. She loved seeing all the 'quock quocks' and a nice couple even gave her some bread so she could feed them :)

Before we went home, we stopped off at another orchard for a final attempt. She was ok until I put the petti romper on her.....and then we were done.

Next comes part 2! Easter Sunday :)

Forgotten Photos

I'm a little obsessed with taking Maddie's photos. And I don't mean just picking up my camera and snapping away. I mean full on "organized-you're going to wear this dress and this headband-curl your hair-drive to a location" photo shoot. Yeah.

Sometimes this ritual happens 2 or 3 times in a month. And sometimes I forget about them until I go to process a client's photos and I have 100+ photos of Maddie that have yet to be looked over.

It's an addiction and yes I am seeking help.

In the meantime, enjoy these forgotten photos :)

Allyssa's Sweet Sixteen

Ok, so I promised this post awhile ago (afterall, her birthday was on March 26th!) but I lied and I'm a slacker. But I'm doing it now! My baby sister is finally 16 and is now dating and driving...Say WHAT?!?! We had a blast at her birthday party! And it was at their new house! I can describe their house in one word: Amazing!! Loved every room, knook, and cranny.

On the menu was taco salad (which is my new favorite thing), homemade chips, and olives, olives, olives. Yummo!

(yes, she is like this 24/7.....and s.i.n.g.l.e! Let me know if you want her number!! lol)

Kyler was a little hungry for something else.

Then it was time for presents! I chose the lazy way and put the photos in a collage. There were just too many. Let's just say this girl is spoiled (but in a good way!!) :)

She also got a desk, a desk chair, and an ipod touch.

Also, whenever someone in our family turns 16, they get a ring with their birthstone from Papa and Mums. And it's 100% real....not that fake $10 Fred Meyer crap....REAL! :)
